Are you a heavy equipment maintenance professional that is seeking an opportunity?  We need top notch, experienced heavy equipment or ag maintenance professionals that have an interest in being a part of the aviation industry. We are seeking hardworking, experienced, dedicated team players to join our team of professionals in the specialized repair of aviation ground support equipment (GSE). This diverse group of vehicles includes forklifts, k-loaders, generators, deicers, fuel trucks, tugs and other equipment that is gas and/or diesel powered. What you will do:
The Casual Equipment Maintenance Mechanic will ensure maintenance and repair work is performed in a timely and correct manner and ensure all paperwork and maintenance problems are reported to the Equipment Maintenance Supervisor; ability to operate independently as directed by Equipment Operations Management; practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all LGSTX Services operating and safety procedures and policies; follow all safety guidelines and provides for the safety of others; accomplish preventive maintenance, repairs and modifications on assigned equipment.


What you need:

  • Must have high school diploma or G.E.D
  • Ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical matters to external and internal customers
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • One (1) year experience in mechanical maintenance field
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing gas and/or diesel engines, hydraulic systems and reading electrical schematics
  • Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
  • Communicate effectively
  • Work in adverse/outdoor weather conditions near aircraft, in all climatic conditions, and in fast-paced environments
  • Wear a respirator/safety protective equipment
  • Perform work at heights
  • Ability to frequently lift and/or move varied objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Preferred Skills:

  • Prefer maintenance background in conveyor systems, deicer or fuel-type heating furnace systems
  • Six (6) months working on Ground Support equipment
  • Basic computer – keyboarding skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office products is also a plus
