What you will do:
The Storekeeper will operate a supply room/warehouse by ordering new merchandise, receiving surplus property, stocking and distributing goods, and conducting inventories to account for equipment and to maintain proper inventory; must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all ABX operating and safety procedures and policies; follows all safety guidelines and provides for the safety of customers, employees and other persons any time they are on or in company property or aircraft; or within the air operations area; must be able to communicate effectively with other mechanics and management; receives parts from shipping and receiving (assists in loading/unloading trucks) ensuring all proper documentation is accurate and recorded; stock shelves; operate forklifts, pallet jack or delivery vehicles when necessary; monitor appropriateness of established minimum and maximum stock levels, seek authorization(s) to modify established inventory levels as appropriate; create purchase orders, contact vendors for non-operational equipment parts as directed or needed; ensure that purchase orders are placed in adequate time to ensure that received materials and services meet all aspects of quality, safety, timeliness and best value to the company; coordinate material and service procurements with other departments to ensure on-time delivery of required items/services; conduct accurate inventories; must be able to communicate effectively with mechanics and management and assist in other departments as needed; must be able to work flexible schedules (possible nights, weekends and holidays) - weather conditions and operational necessity may require extended hours or necessitate a shorter workweek.
