What you will do:

LGSTX Services is a dynamic, growing company in an essential industry, supporting many facets of e-commerce.

The Human Resources Manager performs varied Human Resources duties, and manages a staff of 12 direct and indirect reports including an HR Supervisor, Generalists and Recruiters in Wilmington, Ohio, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina and other locations.  The HR Manager will occasionally travel to investigate employee relations issues, source candidates, or assist in opening new facilities, sometimes on short notice. Duties include employee relations, policy interpretation, new employee orientation, employee relations, recruitment, and managing an FAA drug and alcohol program.

  • Supervises a staff of Recruiters and Generalists located in Wilmington, Ohio and other locations throughout the country.  May travel to these locations to recruit and interview or investigate employee relations issues.  Works with the Recruiters / Generalists on-site to determine the best approach to recruitment or employee relations issues.
  • Ensures that all acceptable candidates successfully complete a drug test, reference check, and criminal background check, I-9, E-Verify, and all other requirements.  Discusses questionable results with hiring Recruiter/Generalist, Supervisor, and/or HR Director. Works with the Recruiter/Generalists to develop an onboarding process that is positive and comprehensive.
  • Works with employees and the LGSTX management team to interpret HR policies and resolve issues.  Recommends new policies or changes to the Director of Human Resources.
  • Manages the Airborne Global Solutions Anti-Drug and Alcohol Abuse prevention program per FAA guidelines.
  • Assists the Director of HR with the recruitment of various positions throughout the ATSG family of companies.
  • Is a resource to employees with questions about policies and practices.
  • Assists in Employee Assistance investigations, internal dispute resolutions, and responses to EEOC charges.
  • Enters employee new hire information and changes in the HR/Payroll data system.  Processes invoices.  Maintains files.
  • Develops improved means of communication with current and potential employees and management.
  • Fills in for HR Generalists at other locations as needed.  
  • Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least four (4) years of varied HR experience with emphasis on employee relations, communication, recruitment and policy development and interpretation
  • Experience developing and implementing employee and management training
  • Impeccable personal integrity in dealing with confidential information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to form positive relationships with employees at all levels in the Company and provide a positive impression of the Company
  • Self-motivated and have good attention to detail
  • Familiar with applicable employment laws
  • Experience entering and retrieving data into a Payroll/Personnel data system
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of products and e-mail
  • Willing to travel on relatively short notice, usually for 3-5 days at a time
  • Willing to occasionally fill-in for HR Generalists in other locations for a week or more at a time
