Job Summary

LGSTX Services, Inc. is now hiring a MHE Regional Service Manager. This position oversees the customer relationship, staff, performance, growth, and budget of the Material Handling Equipment (MHE) business for a region in the U.S. for LGSTX Services, Inc.  Regional travel is required.

Job Duties:

  • Works to grow revenue and profit.  Manages to the budget.  Controls costs and ensures that work orders are properly completed.  Evaluates all options of possible revenue and profit growth. Monitor sand ensures compliance to various state and local regulations.  Monitors staffing levels and payroll costs.
  • Develops and maintains contacts with customers.  Ensures that our performance is meeting or exceeding customer expectations.  Sells additional capabilities to our current customers and identifies potential additional customers.  Makes recommendations to customers regarding additional needs that LGSTX can meet for their company.
  • Receives RFP's from current and potential customers.  Evaluates LGSTX’s ability to profitably perform the work.  Develops a bid considering all costs including labor, equipment, materials, travel, etc.  This may require communication with the customer to provide needed detail.  Submits bids professionally and on-time.  If awarded the work, works with Managers to define the resources needed and schedule the project.
  • Evaluates all aspects of operations of the Managers.  Confirms all groups are working efficiently and working together.  Brings costs in-line with budget while maintaining quality and the confidence of the customer. Mentors Area Managers to excel in customer relations as well as understanding of managing to profit.
  • Instill a sense of urgency and customer service in the maintenance group.  The Mechanics are our most direct contact with the customer and must reflect our goal of superior service and growth.  Finds opportunities to reduce cost and/or increase workload.
  • Works with corporate management to identify areas of opportunity, and remove roadblocks.  Maintains good working relationships with resources such as Human Resources, Purchasing, and Accounting.
  • Performs preventive maintenance and emergency maintenance duties to include weekends and/or evenings as required.

Job Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of experience in maintenance of material handling equipment within large distribution centers
  • At least 2 years of experience supervising mechanics doing MHE maintenance
  • Requires excellent communications and customer services skills.  Must be detail oriented.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel to develop cost models for bid proposals
  • Expertise with 120 v single phase AC to 480 volt 3ph AC, including but not limited to drive motors, motor soft starts units, variable frequency drives, and programmable logic controls (PLC)
  • Ability to cut, weld, and fabricate
  • Ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical wire schematics
  • Must have the ability to read and troubleshoot using electrical wire schematics
  • Must be familiar with the use of equipment maintenance manuals, MSDS manuals, and EPA regulations
  • The ability to travel on a regular basis
