What you will do:

The MHE Mechanic 2 will perform skilled maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities components and systems serviced by LGSTX Services. These systems may include all types or work on conveyor systems, minor repairs to GSE such as forklifts and vehicles used at LGSTX Services locations or other locations as designated by your supervisor. This position also deals with all aspects of industrial repairs and upkeep at designated facilities. An MHE mechanic 1 provides guidance and serves as a mentor to less experienced MHE mechanics. In addition this position may interact, inspect, and oversee contractors work. This position must maintain excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels of the organization and those at remote locations. This position requires personnel with excellent written record keeping skills. This position requires personnel that are self motivated willing to work with little or no direct on site supervision. You must be willing to travel and stay away from home for periods of time. This position is subject to overtime, and this position requires a safety conscience behavior at all times.

What you need:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Must posses and maintain a valid driver’s license
  • Must pass a required background and drug screen
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
  • At least 4 years of verifiable prior work experience with industrial or commercial maintenance work as a maintenance technician
  • Ability to work independently of others
  • Must show proficiency of any of the above upon request

Preferred Skills:

  • 10 years of prior experience working in an environment of industrial or commercial maintenance as a maintenance technician or supervisor
  • Two years of formal approved technical training or schooling in industrial or commercial maintenance. To include mechanical, electrical, plumbing, welding, and HVAC
  • Computer skills to include email and Microsoft office products such as Microsoft Office Word and Microsoft Office Excel.
