MHE Manager TPA3


Job Summary:

Oversees maintenance, and installation of equipment in F Building at ILN.  This includes MHE, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.  Ensures that all scheduled and reactive maintenance is done in accordance with contract and in a cost-effective manner.  Ensures that all work is properly recorded and charged in the tracking system.  Supervises LGSTX staff at the facility.


  • Oversees performance of work on Material Handling Equipment.  Ensure that work is performed in a thorough, safe and cost effective manner.  Ensures that all scheduled work is performed on-time.       
  • Works closely with the customer to build a positive working relationship.  Communicates when requested work will result in additional billing.  Meets regularly to report on status of routine and non-routine projects. 
  • Monitors costs to meet budget.  Controls the cost of overtime, parts, and waste.  Ensures that all work is tracked and billed.  Ensure that extra work is billed to customer.  Understand and monitors BudStat.
  • Makes recommendations to the Director regarding staffing levels and work to be performed.    
  • Is knowledgeable about the customer contract and ensures that LGSTX commitments are met.
  • Performs management function to include hiring, counseling, performance appraisals, scheduling, and discipline.
  • Other duties as assigned.       


  • Requires High school education or equivalent.
  • Must have 4 years of experience managing all aspects of an MHE maintenance operation. 
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Requires experience managing a budget.
  • Must be proficient with MicroSoft Word and Excel. 
  • Must be familiar with maintenance project software.
  • Must be proficient with equipment maintenance manuals.   

Preferred Requirements:

  • Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, IT, or related field.
  • Experience with inventory tracking software and SAP accounting systems.
