Location:  Wilmington, OH

Shift: - Days 9am - 6pm Tues - Saturday

What you will do:

The ARFF Specialist will ensure that emergency equipment is continuously maintained in a high state of readiness; provide currency training as necessary; ensure ARFF team members provide rapid response to emergencies; provide first aid to ARFF victims as necessary; perform other duties as necessary.


What you need:

• Must have HSD/GED
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to successfully pass an MVR background check
• State Firefighting course level 1 or equivalent
• Ability to complete 40 hour FAA approved ARFF course
• Ability to complete FAA annual/recurrent burn training
• Certified EMT-B
• Ability to pass a Medical Pulmonary Function test and annual OSHA physical
• Ability to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spaces
• Communicate effectively
• Work in adverse outdoor weather conditions
• Wear a respirator safety protective equipment as indicated
• Lift objects weighing various amounts weighing up to 65 lbs.
• Perform work at heights

Preferred Skills:

• Prefer certification as a First-Aid and CPR Instructor
• Firefighter course level 2
• 1 year experience responding to medical emergencies
• 40 hour ARFF course or equivalent
• Experience in testing/inspection of building sprinkler and alarm systems per NFPA standards.
