Job Duties:
The Shift Manager will manage facility responsibilities for an assigned shift through the supervisors, while maintaining service commitments to the United States Postal Service at a designated Surface Transfer Center (STC).

  • Maintains effective communication regarding operational requirements to supervisors and employees
  • Responsible for operational policy implementation and problem resolution
  • Performs management functions, including interviewing, selection, training, rewards/discipline, performance reviews and safety compliance
  • Assists Manager of STC as necessary


Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • At least 3 years of freight/logistics operations management experience leading multiple employees and supervisors
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
  • The ability to work in partnership with corporate LGSTX teams including Executive Management, Human Resources, Safety and Training.
  • Proficient with PC using Microsoft Office software
  • Working knowledge of regulations governing government contractors and applicable state and federal laws
  • Ability to lead a safe work facility by applying company, state and federal safe practices, policies, and regulations.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours as needed to support a 24/7 operation
  • The ability to work in a startup operations environment
  • The ability to lift objects weighing up to 35 lbs
  • Ability to pass a federal background check and drug test to access USPS facility
