Job Description:

Be the point of contact for the Site’s operations safety and training needs. Work in tandem with the LGSTX safety and training personnel to implement safety and training programs at the Site. Take directives from the safety and the training managers to ensure compliance with the Safety and Training programs at the Site level.

What you will do:

• Support the implementation and maintenance of hazard identification, incident investigation and risk assessments processes. Support closure of corrective and preventive actions.
• Provide technical support on health, safety and environmental to the Site’s operations team under the guidance of the LGSTX Safety and Training personnel.
• Be the Site’s gatekeeper of LITMOS (LMS) and provide support on all technical and functional issues that arise within the system.
• Ensure that the OJT Mentorship program at the Site level is functioning at its optimum by taking directions from the Training Manager.
• Lead the investigations on safety incidents, including near misses and injuries.
• Audit the safety & training programs and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Work cross-functionally to identify and address safety and health issues related to site operations.
• Partner with Operations and Human Resources to assist with worker’s compensation tasks such as, corresponding with the occupational healthcare facilities, and return to work with modifications.
• Promotes a safe work environment by coordinating and cooperating with the Site’s operations management.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you need:

• Requires at least 1 years of operational Lead experience in a busy industrial setting. 
• Must be familiar with the safety and training issues encountered in such a work environment and be aware of good practices to mitigate safety risks.
• Requires a valid Tennessee’s Driver’s License with no DUI’s in the last 5 years.
• Must be proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  Must be proficient with e-mail.

Preferred Skills:           

• Familiarity with safety regulations alongside some occupational health & safety training needs.
